We organize, advocate, and build power to shift public dollars from punishment to care.

Our campaigns bring together community members, advocates, and organizations across L.A. County to fight for investments that actually keep us safe. From budget advocacy to policy change, we’re working to transform how resources are allocated and who they serve.

What we're fighting for

Shifting Systems, Not Just Budgets

Each campaign targets a different piece of the system, but all move us toward a Care First future.

2020

Measure J

We successfully passed Measure J to secure dedicated funding for community-based alternatives to incarceration, ensuring resources are reinvested into care, not cages.

We champion participatory budgeting so residents have a direct say in how public dollars are spent in their communities.

We fight to remove Immigration and Customs Enforcement from L.A. County and end local cooperation with federal systems that criminalize and harm immigrant communities.

We are exposing the staggering financial cost of Sheriff and Probation Department misconduct and litigation settlements, advancing public accountability and making the case for investing taxpayer dollars in prevention, care, and community safety instead of costly systems harm.
